5 basic fears at work
Fear of failure
Often we are afraid to fail if we take on new orders. It happens that people are already adjusting to this fear in the morning and for this reason they refuse new work, they try to shift it to others, they get angry for no reason. Understand the reason for this fear. Maybe in order to cope better with the task, you should learn a little, improve your qualifications. Or a person - a perfectionist by nature. Or maybe it was just tiredness and time to go on vacation?
Fear of luck
There is such a fear - the fear of success. A person is afraid to take responsibility for future achievements and fame. His fear of responsibility scares him. But you can’t do the same familiar work all the time. Otherwise there will be no growth. Overcome your indecision - and to new achievements!
Fear of criticism
Fear of being ridiculed by colleagues or causing dissatisfaction with the boss often prevents a person from being natural. This causes even more problems. Understand why the critic scares you, how you behave when you are criticized. Maybe it really should work better? If you think that criticism is unreasonable, this is a reason to seriously talk with your boss or colleague.
Fear of competition
You are afraid that someone will do the job better and faster than you, so take your time and make mistakes. You are afraid that someone will take your position, and constantly look for potential enemies. It breeds suspicion and discourages others. You should try to objectively assess your capabilities and admit to yourself that you are an indispensable employee. And possible competitors are better to make friends.
Many have no voice in front of their boss. Some bosses are so authoritative and impressive that there is no desire to argue with them. But you must. Overcome the fear of chef disputes. Be arrogant and allow yourself to sometimes say no. Remember: your boss is also human and may be wrong.
