What can I write about myself in a resume?
Interested in and present yourself
The main goal facing the component of the resume is to interest the reader. It can be the head of the organization or a person engaged in recruitment. Of course, a resume can not guarantee getting a job, but it is the first step towards it.
To interest the reader, the applicant, who represents information about himself, should remember that it must be relevant and selective. It is not necessary to write an autobiography with a detailed indication of the milestones of life - emphasize the education, occupy previously or currently positions, the specifics of the work. Pay attention to the personal qualities that characterize you as an employee.
It is worth remembering that when writing a resume, you must adhere to the business style, be concise, specific, accurate. It is inadmissible for such a genre to use all sorts of descriptive turns, saturation with epithets, it is necessary to avoid metaphorical and allegorical language. It is not recommended to abuse the use of the pronoun "I" - it sounds defiant and pretentious.
When listing what you did in the previous / present work, avoid the imperfective verbs - answered, found. It is better to use "fulfilled", "increased", etc. This will help to avoid the reader's sense of "time" of the actions of the person pretending to the place. It is better to use verbs in the present tense, and not in the past.
Honesty and literacy are the keys to success
When writing a resume, you should avoid pointing out the negative aspects of the work biography, but you need to remain honest, because no employer will want to contact the person who initially deceived him. As for the photo, you can attach it to the portfolio, but remember that the photo should be only you and it must be strict. It is not allowed to include in the summary images of parties, feasts, weddings, etc. The question remains whether the salary requirements are being specified. In general, such a question can be found out at the interview, when you are invited to it.
People who have an extensive track record, you should not specify all the jobs - focus on the present. Pay more attention to what you have been doing or been doing in the past 5 years. This is more relevant for a potential employer than where and where you worked 15 years ago. If possible, attach your work, for example, if you are a journalist, architect, etc., or link to sites with your successful projects.
Be sure to ask a person who speaks the language well, check the resume you wrote if you are not sure about your literacy. A competently assembled portfolio creates a positive attitude towards a meeting with the competitor.
