How to be if I do not understand my job
Unfortunately, not all people love their work. And quite often the reason for dislike lies in the fact that a person does not understand his work. If you do not want to find a new job at the moment, then this problem must be solved. First, answer yourself honestly to the question: are you really able to understand your responsibilities with a reasonable explanation? If, for example, you have spent your whole life studying the history of the ancient world, and now you have to work in the laboratory of nuclear physics, it is clear that you may simply not have a propensity for this case. Do not try to grasp the immensity.
If you are sure of yourself, then you need to carry out a "understand your work" campaign. Make a list of questions you do not understand. Before asking for help, try to deal with them yourself. An employee who tries to solve his problems himself, causes respect. Read the instructions, guidelines and special literature. The abundance of electronic books and articles greatly facilitates the task of finding the necessary information. Do not neglect it.
If you can not figure it out yourself, ask your colleagues for help. It can be either your supervisor or simply a more experienced employee to whom you have respect. Ask to give you a minute at a time that is convenient for explaining. Clearly outline your problem. Do not be afraid to admit that you do not understand your work. It is better to get the necessary explanations in advance than to tell why you made this or that mistake. Write down all the explanations. Do not hesitate to stop explaining to clarify confusing moments. Do not forget to thank the employee who has cleared up difficult questions for you.
