How to succeed in an interview
With regard to education, indicate all places of study, including courses. If you managed to work in many places and even in several specialties, everything is optional. Choose those positions that will show that you have the knowledge, skills necessary for the work you are currently applying for. Noting your personal qualities at the end of the resume, do not be modest. The main thing is to focus on those character traits that you think will be useful for the main job.
Spend it with yourself before the interview. Better out loud. List all your positive sides and traits, convince yourself that nobody is better than you for this job. This blitz-training pursues two main goals. First, it will help to collect all the information needed for the conversation. Secondly, overcome shyness, uncertainty before the meeting. And most importantly, tune in to win.
In the story about yourself, start from the information that was outlined in the summary. But in more detail, consider the experience and qualities that are required. Try in the course of the conversation to better understand the needs of the employer and give him the information that will show you in a favorable light. Here it is more relevant than in the resume to show your knowledge of the related main field professions. And even talk about hobbies, if they are somehow useful for future work. On the issue of shortcomings better to laugh.
Do not go on an interview with the mood "now or never". This can provoke your excess nervousness, assertiveness and aggressiveness, which will repel the employer. It is better to immediately tune into a meeting with a desire to do everything that is necessary for victory, but also willingly accept its outcome, whatever it is. In any case, the attempt is an experience from which you can learn lessons for the future interview.
At interview it is inadmissible:
- Delayed. Better come ten minutes early.
- The lack of laxity in the documents. Crumpled resume, somehow folded portfolio.
- It's bad to talk about colleagues and management from past work. If in the past work you have had conflict situations, in no case do not spread it.
