How to change work
Before you start looking for a job, answer the following questions: what the current job does not suit you, what do you expect from the new one, what are you willing to sacrifice for this, and what are not. Answers will allow you to formulate requirements for a potential employer and save time by sifting out obviously inappropriate offers immediately. You are not just looking forthe job. and choose. In addition, the source of income and the scope of application of forces you have, and if you change something, then only for the better.
The technology of job search is exactly the same as in any other situation: monitoring vacancies for positions of interest from all possible sources (media, job search sites, social networks and professional communities, acquaintances, etc.), sending resume, telephone communication with representatives possible employers, interviewing, testing of professional skills, demonstration of a portfolio, etc. The only reservation is that it’s better not to advertise your intention to change jobs until you receive a specific offer. Although serfdom was abolished more than 100 years ago, not all leaders are satisfied with this.
But the offer has been received, and one more crucial moment remains - to inform your current employer about your decision. Make it as diplomatic as possible, let it be understood that nothing personal, but working conditions in another place are objectively better for you. The ideal option is if you react calmly to the news and you part peacefully. Make it clear that they are ready to complete all current affairs, to bring up to date someone who will replace you. If you receive a counter offer of more favorable conditions for your current job, think: maybe an old friend is better than new two. If your employer frankly becomes impudent, stand firm and seek dismissal: the law is on your side.
