How to calculate holiday pay correctly
If the employee worked 12 months and received only a salary, the amount of the salary is multiplied by 12 and divided by the number of calendar days in the year. The resulting amount will be equal to the payment for one day of the vacation.
When calculating the amount for the vacation, you should consider the amount of part-time work, working overtime and on holidays and weekends, as well as the amount of monetary incentives and rewards. Calculated the total earnings and divided by the number of calendar days in the year. The resulting amount is multiplied by the number of vacation days.
Time vacation, sick leave, idle time and travel is excluded from the calculation period and is not taken into account when calculating holiday pay.
