How to calculate the allowance for the sick
Determine the amount of all payments, which include salary, bonus, and so on, which were accrued insurance contributions to the Social Insurance Fund of the Russian Federation. For the payments to take the last 12 calendar months that preceded the time when a period of temporary disability.
Determine the average daily earnings of an employee who is charged allowance on the sick list. For this, the total amount of payments for 12 months divide by the number of work days per a given accounting period.
Determine the amount of benefit payments attributable to each of the days missed by an employee out on disability. To do this, multiply the average daily earnings of the employee for the amount of the allowance, expressed as a percentage. The amount of the benefit may depend on various criteria, such as experience.
Compare the amount of daily benefit with a maximum daily allowance. In that case, if you calculated you daily allowance not exceed the maximum size, then allowance temporary disability benefits paid on the basis of the average daily size.
Calculate the total amount paid. In order to do this, multiply the daily benefit by the number of calendar days during which the employee will be hospitalized or housebound. Duration the maximum period that may be paid by the employer, determined in accordance with the 6th and 10th articles of the Law No. 255 of the Federal law.
