How to name a position
Legislation establishes the right of the employer to name this or thatposition on your own. This possibility is excluded for those posts, the work on which gives the employee benefits and reimbursement (special food, reduced pension, additional leave) or restrictions (certain health requirements). The name of such posts must fully comply with the requirements of the Single Qualification Handbook. If the working professions are more or less defined (the ETC common in different sectors), then the professions of managers, specialists and employees do not meet the requirements of today. In order for the job title to correspond exactly to the duties that are assigned to the employee, it is allowed to enter names that are not provided for by the ETC. In order not to violate the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, a number of mandatory procedures must be performed before changing the title of a particular post.
The first thing to do is calculate the number of your organization. The number of employees should be economically justified - this figure should be calculated from the planned profit. You do not need to "dream" of a staff of 100 people, if you actually pay wages you can pay only sixty. And do not rely on the fact that paying less, get more employees. Those professionals who are willing to work for a meager payment, as a rule, and "earn" miser (if they are not altruists or your faithful companions).
After determining the number of employees, make up a staffing table. Here you need to decide specifically how many, what kind of skills and professionals you need. When developing the staffing table, you can enter new posts, rename existing ones.
After carrying out the procedure for coordinating the draft staffing table, it is approved and comes into force by the order of the head. Now all your changes are legal. With new posts you need to familiarize employees and make entries in the work book.
It would seem that everything is simple, but in the process of "inventing" new posts try not to bend the stick in pursuit of a fashionable and catchy name. A lot of discussions are caused by the profession "manager". In the Qualification Handbook of Managers and Specialists, put into effect in 1998, there are explanations on this issue, but the list of posts is clearly insufficient. One thing is obvious thatposition manager refers to the management and is divided into 3 categories:
• senior managers (they include all heads of organizations, companies, etc.);
• middle managers (heads of departments, sectors, services, etc.);
• managers of the lowest level (specialists who are responsible for a certain type of activity in the organization).
This means that the differences between them only in the scope of authority and responsibility. In any case, the manager is a specialist who has a management function. For example: it will be correct to renameposition engineer of the supply and marketing department inposition the manager on logistics. But to callposition cleaner "manager of the cleaning service" is absolutely wrong. But, unfortunately, such cases take place. Therefore, when admitting new employees, try to find out what really is behind the beautiful name in the candidate's work bookposition .
