How to determine the profession test
It is a mistake to believe that it is difficult for the schoolchildren to decide on their profession. Sometimes people work for years on this or that profession, and then lose interest to it, but they can not immediately decide on another. Probably, the first and basic rule in these cases is that you can not rush here. The choice of a profession depends on so many factors, in addition, it determines a person's life for at least several years in advance, and more often for several decades.
High school students, and often young professionals often experience the pressure of stereotypes about the prestige of this or that profession. As a result, on the recommendations of parents or acquaintances, they enter the university on a specialty that is not interesting to them, although prestigious, and then begin to work on it, but do not feel any positive feelings for this work. In order not to go on about stereotypes, do not forget about your interests and desires. Determine what kind of sphere you are most interested in, you can, after passing the test for career guidance or receiving advice.
The professional orientation test is designed to reveal the main advantages of the person who passes it, his personality traits, strengths and weaknesses. According to the results of such a test, a person is offered several spheres, the work in which he is most suitable. For example, if a test reveals scrupulousness, diligence, mindfulness and structural thinking in a person, then accounting and finance will be a suitable direction. There is a huge number of different tests for professional orientation - from simple, containing 20-30 questions to multistage (200,300 or more questions of completely different subjects).
Professional (career) counseling helps to determine already with the profession itself, and not with the sphere of activity. A professional consultant can tell a client about a particular profession, its strengths and weaknesses, the prospects for its development. It will be right to visit a professional consultant after passing the professional orientation test: knowing the results of the test, the consultant will be easier to understand his client, he will not only "acquaint" him with suitable professions, but also tell what difficulties can be encountered in particular clients in case of choosing a specific profession.
If your school does not conduct professional orientation tests, or if you are no longer a schoolboy, you can contact one of the city's personnel centers. As a rule, HR centers conduct such testing, in some, professional consultants also work. You can also contact the Center for Testing and Development "Humanitarian Technologies" at Moscow State University - he is just dealing with such issues.
