How to organize work with parents
When a teacher becomes a class teacher in a new class, he must become acquainted with theparents pupils. For this, the teacher, as a rule, compiles a social passport for each family. In it, he indicates information about whether the family is complete, the age and education of parents, their social status, place of work, position and contact details. If the family is large or has some benefits (service in hot spots, disability, etc.), be sure to include this information in the social passport.
At the first introductory parenting meeting, the teacher should talk about himself, about his requirements for the learning process. This will further avoid misunderstanding, for example, when preparing a homework assignment.
Parents who know the basic rules and requirements of the teacher, it will be easier to control their children, for example, to check the work on the errors after each test work.
It is very good for planning open and trustful relations to plan a visit to families of pupils. This is necessary in order to understand the conditions under which the child lives, what psychological atmosphere has developed in the family, how the communication of children and parents occurs. It's no secret that if a child is constantly in a state of stress, expect success in school or a benevolent relationship with peers is not worth it.
At the first meeting, you must select the members of the parent committee. It is on them that the teacher will later be able to count on the organization of some class hour or any other all-school event.
Introduce the parents to the schedule and themes of the parent meetings planned for the year. Ask what professionals (psychologist, doctors, juvenile inspector, etc.) they would like to see at these meetings. Do not forget, during such meetings, to thank them for their financial or other assistance to the school and the class.
Make a schedule for individual meetings withparents. so they can come to a private conversation and consult with you in matters of raising children.
