How to answer the question why I left previous work
Whatever the reason for your dismissal, you need to calmly and confidently answer the question of why you left your previous place of work. An experienced HR manager will pay attention not so much to the meaning of your words as to how you answer the question. Try not to be nervous and not to get confused, especially not to vaccinate. Quietly tell us about the true reason, but if it does not concern conflicts with the team and management.
Do not talk about the conflict, even if you are sure of your rightness. Do not blame your former boss or employer. Remember that your interlocutor, especially if you communicate directly with the employer, mentally loses the situation, how you will behave if you do not work at this workplace. Nobody wants to be badly spoken about. This is particularly true of small towns, where many business leaders know each other perfectly.
In the event that your interlocutor already knows about the conflict, do not go into details, tell him that this case is unique in your work biography and is associated with special circumstances. Respond positively to your experience and skills.
There is nothing to worry about if, as the reason for your dismissal, you name unfulfilled salary expectations and the inability to realize yourself in the past workplace. This is a fairly common phenomenon and a very natural reason, especially if you have dependents on hand. Specifying the reason for low earnings, you must be sure that the proposed vacancy will earn more.
It is quite natural and neutral to be perceived if you indicate as the reason the forthcoming reorganization, the inability to realize your potential or career growth, the desire to try yourself in a new activity for you.
Your answer must be thought out and logical. You can say that at the previous place of work you have reached certain goals and your personal contribution has been evaluated highly, but you do not see prospects for yourself. In this case, you will look very worthy and, most likely, other things being equal, the vacancy will be offered to you.
