How to transfer an interview
If you have already set a specific date for the interview, but you have a good reason for not being able to visit him, try to reschedule the meeting. A cold and flu with all the accompanying symptoms (runny nose, cough, and sleepy appearance) are unlikely to contribute to the approval of your candidacy. In addition, you can infect the interviewer. A serious illness of a member of your family, breakdown of communication systems in the apartment, and other circumstances are weighty enough to postpone the interview.
The best way to notify an employer about a change in the date of a meeting is to call or send an e-mail. Try to inform the management of the organization that invited you to the meeting as soon as possible. So you show that you value not only your own, but someone else's time.
In the message, tell your name and the name of the person who invited you for an interview. then name the reason you cannot come. End the message or conversation with the estimated date for the new meeting, asking how much time would be convenient for the employer. If the competition for a position is large, the company management has every right to refuse to postpone the date of the interview.
If, having gone to a meeting, you feel that you will be late (got stuck in a traffic jam, a car broke down, etc.), report your delay and its reasons by phone as soon as possible. At the same time, the employer has the right to suggest that you postpone the meeting, since your delay may disrupt his work schedule.
If there is a slight delay without a prior call, calmly apologize and admit that you are wrong. Stay worthy and watch the reaction of the potential bosses. The leader, who has shown rudeness and irritation to the applicant, will probably also behave with the subordinate.
