Going for an interview, make a preliminary reconnaissance. Find out more about the company and the people with whom you will talk, get to know the products or services of the company. Try to find reviews online or speak with those who work or have worked in the organization.
Think about the style of clothing and the appropriateness of accessories. If approved in the company dress code or welcome a certain appearance, try to get as close to him. For financial institutions good business suit and the applicant for the position of designer, for example, you can wear more loose clothing. The main thing – not to go to extremes, choose a low-key outfit to be neat and tidy, not to use harsh perfumes and colognes.
In any case, don't be late for the interview. Make sure in advance that you know the route and will be able to arrive at least 5-10 minutes to a place to get my thoughts in order and to prepare for the meeting. If being late is inevitable, call the employer, apologize and give good reasons for your delay. In the case of strong delay it would be appropriate to reschedule for another day.
Before the interview try to go to bed early in order to sleep well, especially if the meeting is scheduled for the first half of the day. On the day of the conversation, not drink plenty of fluids, avoid alcohol and monitor the freshness of your breath.
In the office be friendly with all employees, don't forget to greet, reserved smile. Never put the first hand to experience it, you can put in the awkward situation of people avoiding handshakes. If you lent a helping hand, answer the same gesture. Keep in mind that hands should be dry and warm, and the handshake is confident but not too strong. Occupy a sitting position only after you are offered a seat.
During the conversation look into the eyes of the interviewer, listen carefully. Before answering a question, try internally to formulate a response, stressing their positive qualities and not talking about shortcomings. Do not discuss your financial difficulties and discuss the expected salary only after the interlocutor will suggest this. Be active and show interest, don't interrupt and don't hesitate to ask questions regarding future work.
Concluding the interview, thank the interlocutor for the attention shown. Clarify when you can find out the results of the interview.
