How to conduct psychological training
Spend a complete set of the group. For the training to come exactly the people who need it, you should conduct a preliminary individual interview with each of the candidates. Participants in psychological training should be focused on self-improvement and self-improvement. Those who join the group in pursuit of other goals will hinder the progress of the whole team.
Develop common rules for the group. The principle of trust is obligatory, according to which each participant should speak sincerely, without hesitating the presence of strangers. It is recommended to establish in the group a uniform form of addressing each other: exclusively on “you” and using a personal name. The principle of confidentiality obliges training participants to leave the content of communication within the group. The principle of personification of statements is expressed in the use of personal rather than impersonal constructions. For example, "I think that ...", instead of "it is considered that ...". This linguistic trick obliges participants to express their own opinion, and not to repeat popular clichés.
Focus on introspection. After completing each of the psychological exercises, participants should share their feelings and thoughts. What was easy for them, and what caused the difficulty. What surprised in their own behavior and in the reaction of others. It is important that the atmosphere in the group is trustful and the participants are not afraid to speak frankly.
Model stressful situations. In order for truly significant changes to take place in the human psyche, it needs to be shocked. Therefore, it is very important to include psychodrama elements in the training program.
Warn thoughtless actions of group members. Inspiration, optimism, and a surge of inner power can make people act recklessly. At the end of the class, warn group members that a powerful emotional lift is a short-term reaction and can be fixed in the psyche only as a result of a long inner work. The desire to dramatically change their lives (quit work, get married, or, conversely, get a divorce) is quite natural and occurs in many participants in psychological training. However, before making serious decisions, you must carefully consider them and wait at least a month after the end of the training.
