How to conduct an interview with a candidate for the post
Prepare thoroughly for the interview. Consider their actions, based on three stages – preparation for the interview, direct interviews and analysis of the results.
First, determine the time and place of the interview. It is better to choose to talk private office where the applicant will be able to fully concentrate. For the rest of the candidates provide seats in the hallway. But it would be better if each candidate in advance you will designate the exact time of the interview. In this case, note the duration of the conversation. It is usually about half an hour, although sometimes this time can vary in the big or smaller party.
Prepare the necessary information for the candidates: what are the requirements, job descriptions, working conditions.
Start the interview with abstract that will allow a few to defuse the situation. Tell the person a little about your company, what it does, its latest achievements. After that, you can go directly to the conversation.
Ask questions to the applicant so that he could give you detailed answers, not to answer them in monosyllables.
During the conversation try not to interrupt a candidate, because he is so worried and picks up the words. Be friendly and correct. At the end of the interview be sure to ask whether the candidate has questions for you. Try to respond in detail to them.
Be sure to write down all interesting facts about the applicant. Such data will help you to further analyze the results of the interview.
If during the interview you decide that this candidate is right for you, then tell him about it at once and familiarize yourself with the basic working points. In case of refusal, you should not leave a person for a long time in the dark. Specify exactly the amount of time the candidate will be notified of interview results.
