How to work with documents so they are not lost

If the documents are few, and they relate to one scope, they need to put everything in one place, preferably in a folder. But, as a rule, one folder is not enough, there should be several. For example, a folder with the constituent documents of the company, letters, contracts with suppliers, etc.
With the expansion of the number of folders increases. You may need not one, but a few shelves for them. And then there are employees who will have your documents and your folders. That is the first rule of order is the unfolding of papers on thematic folders, which have to be on any shelf.
Now industry produces horizontal and vertical trays. They are very practical and take up little space, fit well on the table and give the opportunity to have at hand all major and frequently used documents, without requiring buying new furniture.
If there are too many documents, you can make them with a special registry (logbook) or more. For example, logs of incoming and outgoing documentation. They fit the date of registration and the incoming (outgoing) number of the document, its summary and/or title where the document is directed (in which Department, which officials awarded the folder put etc.).
For some or all folders if there are too many documents and many folders (the meaning), you may need the registry of documents in each folder, we have a list of them attached, or somehow attached in the middle of the folder. Each document can be assigned a number (if it was not there before) or give your. Then there is no need to scroll all the documents, but rather to look at their list, and then take the necessary number.
Lay out the documents on the appropriate folders, trays and shelves, start them on time, and you will easily and quickly find everything.
We maintain order in the workplace
The workplace must be kept in order. Try daily or at least every few days to clean the table. Need more documents can be left on the table, and the rest spread out in folders, trays and shelves, as if someone took it, then return. Only if you give, it's better to remember who or even record.
