How to calculate the number of employees
Calculate the standard number of staff (N) employees in your company using the formula:
V / (Frv × Nvr × Kvn), where
V - the volume of work in units of measurement adopted at your enterprise for a certain period;
Frv - the fund of working time for this period, in hours;
Nd - the rate of income of the enterprise;
KVN - the planned rate of norms (defined as the ratio of the planned revenue of the planned period to the actual revenue of the past period).
Calculate the planned rate of implementation of the norm in your enterprise by the following formula:
Kn = 1 + Dn, where
Days – share non-business hours from the General Fund of working time on the calendar of the enterprise (the amount of hours of absenteeism of employees divided by the total number of hours worked during the billing period).
Now calculate the number of employees, taking into account the normative number of staff and the planned rate of implementation of the norm in your enterprise, according to the formula:
W = N × K, where
W - the required number of staff (excluding technical staff, that is, porters, guards and cleaners);
H - the standard number of staff;
KN - the planned rate of absenteeism of employees.
Please note: any formula can be adjusted for:
- time of year;
- specifics of the field of activity of the enterprise;
- the mode of operation of the enterprise.
Calculate the number of staff using "1C payroll and Personnel" or MS Excel, so as to manually calculate the number of required workers (given the fact that needs to be taken into account by each expert of the enterprise) are sometimes not possible.
