How to become a good worker
Conscientious attitude to work is determined primarily by the fact whether the person is responsible for their job duties, how competently and professionally they perform. Therefore, it is necessary to thoroughly study all the subtleties and nuances of its job description, to find out what functions must be performed in the position held, and to ensure that each item is strictly observed and executed without errors, misfires and misunderstandings.
But we should not limit ourselves to this. Although the proverb is known about the punishability of the initiative, the employer, as a rule, does not like workers too much, under any circumstances not wishing to perform something that goes beyond their immediate duties.
A conscientious employee not only eagerly responds to such requests from his superiors, but also thinks about how to make his work more efficient. Suggestions for improving the "working process", if they are sufficiently thought out and justified, will not be left without attention of the authorities, and the head will have an occasion to mention the employee who made a timely and useful initiative.
To become a conscientious worker is unthinkable without observing the elementary labor discipline. Of course, the circumstances are different, but are there many people who have never allowed themselves to be late without a good reason or to quit work on personal affairs if they had such an opportunity?
For a bona fide worker, such "reliefs" are unacceptable. Whatever happens in his life, he must appear on time at work and leave it not earlier than the hour required, observe the rules of conduct and dress code adopted in his organization, and, of course, do not allow other violations of labor discipline.
This is not so easy to implement, especially if the organization is quite free in general attitude to compliance with labor discipline. But the more reliable, more responsible and more stable will be in the eyes of the employer a person who respects all requirements, and, not necessarily, but "at the call of the heart".
And, of course, to become a conscientious worker is almost impossible without internal motivation. Conscientiously treat their duties - it is beneficial for the worker himself. By setting himself specific goals, for example, career growth or raising his professional level and systematically working to achieve them, a conscientious employee can achieve greater heights than one that is used to taking any tops "from a swoop."
Thus, if a conscientious attitude to one's duties becomes not only a necessity for a person but a kind of "step" for achieving the goals set for himself, a responsible attitude toward work will become an internal need of a person and gradually become a habit that, as is known, is a "second in kind.
