Many believe that the most important step in a career is the first. Education does not always mean higher, you can finish the course.
If you study at a university and you start looking for the first job in your specialty, then it's worth remembering a few things:
1. Companies are not very willing to take employees without work experience, but in large companies, as a rule, there are summer paid internships, as well as many initial positions for which a purposeful student or graduate with a good diploma can take. So first of all the main thing is to make a competent resume and show yourself well at the interview.
2. Resume specialists without work experience, as a rule, do not differ much from each other. To attract the attention of the desired employer to your resume can be the study or the graduation of a prestigious university, high achievement, successful passage of university practice, knowledge of foreign languages, the ability to work on a computer not only in Word, but also in Excel and PowerPoint. Awareness is popular with the employer. It is also worth refreshing knowledge of the profession - in interviews often offer tests or talk on professional topics.
A good start is not an excuse to relax. Without further efforts to build a successfulcareer it'll be hard. It is important not only to clearly fulfill all the tasks of the leadership, but also to take the initiative, take part in various projects. If the management is not in a hurry to trust you for such participation, it is worth talking to him about it - this will also only increase the chances of a careerist to succeed. It may seem that much of what is necessary for work was not taught at the university. Then it is worth learning on your own: read books and magazines on professional subjects, ask questions to older colleagues. Do not neglect corporate and other training, for example, English. A true careerist should not be afraid of change. If you feel that you are not developing in your position in the company and if you are not in a hurry to transfer to another position, then this is an occasion to start looking for a new job. Let it be paid lower, but you will gain a new valuable experience.
