How to keep a record of business hours
What is the need for work time accounting
Working hours, its duration, taking into account mandatory breaks for lunch, is determined by a labor or collective agreement. This is the time period during which the employee must perform the duties for which he, in fact, receives wages. The labor legislation establishes a working time of 40 hours per week, and the internal regulations for each enterprise establish a schedule of work, taking into account its beginning and ending, as well as the beginning and the end of the lunch break.
Compliance with the internal work schedule is the duty of the employee, but there are times when he simply has to leave during the working day. In order for his absence in the workplace not to be counted as absenteeism, he must inform his immediate superior and make an appropriate entry in the journal of working hours. Thus, this document allows you to take into account actually worked time, as well as periods of idle time, absence in the workplace, etc. In accordance with Article 81 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, absenteeism is the absence of an employee in the workplace for more than 4 hours without good reason.
