Of course, rising through the ranks, getting more and more prestigious positions and higher salaries. For this you will of course need to be a competent specialist. But now talk not about it. Say, from your point of view, you are already an experienced, professional and deserve better from the point of view of the position. And the promised increase did not take place. Often this comes from the fact that, despite the many advantages and talents you do not possess the ability to properly apply themselves. Your image may not fit in with the view of your superiors about how the employee should look like the coveted leadership position. And if you really rate yourself as a professional on "five" and not find reasons why raising can be offered to audit your appearance and demeanor, required for correction. You will need only pen, paper and a minimum of 30-40 minutes of free time. So, let's start.
The first stage of the audit. Creating an image for the desired position.

The second stage of the audit. Identification of personal characteristics.
Now you have to take for themselves. Imagine yourself in the workplace. Look in the mirror before going to work more closely than usual. Rate yourself on all discharged you in the first column of parameters. Try to be objective and not to belittle himself, but not to embellish the situation. The third stage of the audit. Identify inconsistencies and work on yourself.
