Tip 1: How to organize a photo session
You can quickly organize a photo shoot in a public room, on the street, in the studio. It all depends on the choice of the customer. One photo session takes at least two hours, so you should start early.
Without good lighting, the photo shoot may fail. If it is held indoors, then the windows should be large. Direct sunlight will only interfere and the images will turn out to be too contrasting, so if the windows face east - it is better to take pictures in the afternoon and vice versa.
Ask the customer what he wants to see in the photos, many people do not like being photographed in profile. Specify what image you need to create, perhaps, he wants to see himself in a business style or liberated-sexual. Choosing clothes leave for the customer, but be warned that it is better to take several options for costumes or dresses. Explain that you shouldn't be ashamed of a photographer, as he is asexual creature.
Shooting should not be carried out by an amateur camera, the equipment should be professional. A SLR camera with a good lens is perfect. If the session is held indoors, you need to take a set of paper of different colors to create the background and disguise various objects: windows, doorways, outlets and, possibly, wallpaper. The paper can also help you affect the impression of the image. The background color should be different from the complexion and clothing, while working with black and white images, this problem does not arise.
If you want to make a frame in the picture, its functions can be performed by a branch with leaves, which must be kept near the lens and made a little blurry. It is better to stock up on fresh branches in advance.
Perhaps you may need a flash, or even two flashes. They, unlike the directional light does not heat up. You need to take a tripod with you, then you will have free hands, and you will be able to adjust the lighting and position of the client.
View a few photos of the studio plan. Pay attention to the background: it is homogeneous, often white. Other neutral colors are sometimes used: gray and black. To create a special effect, you can use chromatic color (from the spectrum), but in this case, the clothes of the model should be in harmony with it, not merge, but also not cause too aggressive contrast. A wide long curtain without an ornament and pattern can serve as a background.
To create a relief around the model, not the background, but the interior is used. In this case, it is better to remove all personal items from the frame.
Lighting. The best option - natural sunlight, especially morning or evening. It should not blind the camera or model, that is, be located on the side or on top of the photographer and model. if there is no sun, you can use lamps, removable flashes and reflectors - special round discs covered with white cloth or foil, reflecting the light in a muffled, less aggressive form.
Clothing and makeup models depend on the artistic idea of shooting. The general rules of color science apply to the choice of shades.
Building a frame depends a lot on the idea, but positioning the main objects (including the model) is better in the center of the frame, sometimes a little higher. Experiment, put the camera and model in any position you see fit, make several angles of one position, you will definitely understand what you need.
